No Updates
Well, I think it's finally time to admit to the world that I'm not updating this site much any more these days. The truth is that not much is happening any more now that the series is available on DVD in most areas of the world. There are also many better places on the web these days to get the latest word on things Wodehouse, Fry, Laurie, etc. This site will pretty much serve as a reference rather than a news source for the foreseeable future. I will, however, take a minute to point you towards Stephen Fry's project, Bright Young Things, as it seems particularly relevant.
With the authorities going around stomping on their customer base and taking legal action against small children, I'm going to leave the soundtrack off this site until the wind begins blowing in better conditions.
So, many apologies to everyone who's e-mailed me recently about the site and received no answer - it's been a bit of a sore spot on my conscience for a while now, so I find myself ignoring the e-mails rather than rehashing everything over and over. I do appreciate hearing how people enjoy the site, but am tiring of even the friendliest of the "where's the soundtrack?" e-mails. I'll try to be a friendlier webmaster in the future!
Man of the Century
Highly Recommended
I finally took the time to sit down and watch this film and I must say that it really is the cat's pajamas! While not really Wodehousian humor, the extreme 20's movie-dialogue and snappy soundtrack will delight many visitors to this website. The movie's plot and structure feels like an old black & white, but the humor uses today's less limited selection of topics. There is a marvelously silly finale scene to the familiar tune of "Nagasaki."
Be sure to check out the accompanying Johnny Twennies Website and Man of the Century Website.

Playing the arrangements Spud Muphy wrote in the 1930's for Benny Goodman and others, this is great listening for Wodehouse-era music lovers. The website has samples from three songs. Buy now and get free shipping!

CARP Rejected
The CARP recommendations, that would essentially curb all Internet Radio Stations has been rejected by the Library of Congress, who will recommend new royalty rates in 30 days. You can enjoy my list of internet radio stations of interest to Wodehouse fans for at least 30 days.
