On Masterpiece Theatre

Various chaps have e-mailed me saying, Derek my good man, it's all very well to tell of the episodes which were broadcast in Britain and are available on video, but what about those of us who merely recorded the Masterpiece Theatre off of PBS? Having myself once been one of these chaps who owned a couple VHS tapes with "Jeeves & Wooster" scrawlled across the spine in a familiar handwriting, I wanted to provide information to help label tapes and whatnot. So, I've looked over my old tapes, and a very nice Brian Taves over at the Library of Congress helped me out here.
The following is the order in which Jeeves and Wooster was shown in the U.S.A. on Masterpiece Theatre. Follow links to match up with the episode descriptions in the Episode Guide.

Actually was the first series, shown in the proper order. Introduced by Alistair Cooke.
- Jeeves' Arrival (1)
- Golf Tournament (2)
- The Gambling Event (3)
- Hunger Strike (4)
- The Matchmaker (5)
Series II
Was, in fact the third series, shown in the proper order yet omitting the first two episodes. Introduced by Stephen Fry.
- Introduction on Broadway (3)
- Right Ho! Jeeves (4)
- Hot off the Press (5)
- Comrade Bingo (6)
Series III
Was actually the fourth series, shown in the proper order, however a few episodes were omitted and have yet to be seen in any American format. Introduced by Russel Baker.
- Return to New York (1)
- Honoria Glossop Turns Up (3)
- Arrested in a Night Club (4)
- The Ex's Are Nearly Married Off (6)

Again, I wouldn't have been able to do this without the help of Brian Taves because even I missed a few episodes on my initial recording!
